So, it’s the end of the year, and now it’s time to reflect – did you move
ahead, stay the same, or lose ground? Don’t judge the result, don’t judge
yourself, just be objective, because success is leaving you clues all the time.
Yes, you have the remainder of this month to crank and hit your goals, or get as
close as possible, and by all means, please do so – December is traditionally
one of the two busiest months in a chiropractic office, and opportunities abound
to invest in holiday cheer and share your gifts with those you care about.
Invite your patients to bring in their loved ones, because along with the joy of
the season comes stress, overwork, emotional duress and excessive physical
labor. It’s a perfect time to remind your constituency to “give the gift of
health” and sponsor an exam for a loved one.
It’s also a season of giving to those who really need it, so conducting
community-minded events like toy drives, hat and coat promotions or Patient
Appreciation Days with charity donations will help the underprivileged or those
down on their luck, and make important deposits in your cosmic bank account.
There’s no way to do too much good, and let’s face it, many people would benefit
greatly from your generosity of time, energy and spirit. Needless to say, it
will come back to you in public support, but resist the impulse to look at
holiday promotions as merely marketing – infuse your work with an energy of
giving, and you’ll be delighted with the results.
Also, your goals should already be written, but make sure they are complete
coming into the new year – you wouldn’t enter uncharted territory without a road
map, so shape your expectations in clear, direct language, construct your plans,
and prepare to blaze new trails with positive expectancy and the drive to
succeed – you’ll find this formula as worthwhile and productive as millions have
before you, so raise your standards, believe in yourself and take massive
action. How could you invest yourself any better than that?
So, enjoy the season, and also recognize the opportunities that are naturally
built into it. Happy Holidays!
