Now that the first half is done, make a thorough and exhaustive evaluation, from your procedures to your marketing to your staff to yourself – was the overall performance up to speed? If so, congratulations on your excellent work! If not, time to buckle down and get to the bottom of it – remember, it’s a BE-DO-HAVE game, and you must BE and DO in order to have.
On the being level, check your affirmations, your visualizations, your self talk and your goal structure. Is it all consistent with the success you desire? If not, make corrections. On the do level, do you have a clear-cut game plan to accomplish your objectives? Are the steps specific, and are they actions you can handle?
Success does require motivation, but motivation alone isn’t enough. Get absolutely certain about what you want, why you want it, when you want it by, and how you’re going to get it, and use your enthusiasm to put the wheels in motion. It’s a winnable game, you’ll just have to play well to win.
